Iliana Romanul is a fine art photographer whose work explores presence, solitude, and the quiet experience of the natural world. Working primarily in New England and the North Atlantic, she photographs birds, wildlife, water, weather, and northern landscapes in black and white and restrained color.

Her photographs often place a lone form, animal, or gesture against weather, distance, shadow, or open space.
